Woman With Crown of twelve stars the True Identity

The twelfth chapter of Revelation has also been misinterpreted. I believe that anytime that we read end time prophesy, we need to remind ourselves what 2nd Peter 1:20 says. "Knowing this first that prophesy in scripture has no private interpretation."
Now let us begin. The woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. And she being with child cried.
Everyone that I have ever heard speaking on this subject interprets this woman to represent "The Church". I have never believed that the Church gave birth to my Savior. Excuse me but; That idea seems a bit blasphemous to me. The clay pot does not create the potter. Please, really think about this, "The Church" did not give birth to the Savior. But it sounds so good for us to say that we gave birth to the man child that is to rule the world.
This woman, clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars would have to represent that Hebrew Nation that ceased to exist around 135- 138 AD. The twelve stars would have to represent the twelve tribes of Israel. This requires no interpretative skills, to read these verses exactly as they are written.
The Lord often referred to the Hebrew people as his adulterous wife. The Church also teaches that, the Church is to be the bride of Christ. If this is true, that should further prove that the woman that gives birth to Jesus can not be his bride to be. That would be incest. The Son would not marry his mother! The woman in this chapter definitely does not represent the Church.
That Hebrew nation that was in existence in those centuries; was the bride of GOD. The one that would naturally be the woman to give birth to the son of God. The Church has been applying too much private interpretational skills, when reading prophesy in scripture, though Peter says that this is not to be done.
The Dragon, that old serpent called the Devil was standing before the woman, which was ready to be deliver, for to devour her child as soon as it were to be delivered. This prophesy was fulfilled when Herod the Great attempted to have the baby Jesus killed, before Herod's death in 4 or 1 BC. (V. 5) And the woman brought forth a man child who was to rule all nations... and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. This is definitely speaking of Jesus and his Crucifixion. The Church did not even exist at this point in time (6)And (when) the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there for 1260 days. And after she fled into the wilderness, and then ...(7) there was war in heaven... (13) And when the dragon saw that he had been cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman. (14) and the woman was given two wings of an eagle, and she was carried into the wilderness for a time, times and a half time where they will feed her there and she shall hide from the face of the serpent. This is describing two diffrent timeframes
In v. 6 ...they shall feed her there for 1260 days and in v. 14 she shall hide from the face of the serpent for a time, times and an half. When I first read these verses I thought that 1260 days and a time, times and an half were the same length of time. This is not true. These periods of time did in fact begin at the same time; but the duration of each was for a different time period. 1260 days would be approx. 1643 of our years that a place was prepared that they should feed her there. 1290 days would be 1683 years that she hid from the face of the serpent.
These two diffrent timeframes began when that Hebrew Nation was scattered to the four winds of the earth. That would be counting forward from approx the year 138 AD.
In Daniel 12:7 & 11, a time, times and an half is compared by the angel as being the same as 1290 days.
After this, the dragon cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. What is it that we have been taught that comes out of Satan's mouth? The answer to that last question is LIES. The lies coming out of the dragon's mouth are false interpretations. A flood of lies came out of the dragon's mouth and the earth swallowed them up ( BELIEVED them). The earth believed the dragon's interpretations. They should have read 2nd Peter 1:20. Centuries and centuries of false teachings have brought us to where we are today. Confused with too many denominations to choose from. Too many belief systems. That old Serpent has divided and conquered.
After that Hebrew Nation was scattered into the wilderness around 138 AD the 1260 days began. 1643 years later would bring us to around 1781 that "they should feed her there". It was around this time that the Hebrew people began migrating back into their Promised Land.
A time times and half a time after 138 AD would bring us to around 1821 that she would be hiding from the face of the Dragon. IN 1844 The Caliphate signed a decree allowing Hebrews permission to enter the cities of Israel.
The 1335 days as mentioned in Daniel 12: would have been fulfilled around the year 1900. These numbers may not be absolutely correct though I believe that the concept is . Time as we know it may not be as consistent as we want to believe, making an absolute time equation impossible to comprehend. On the other hand these numbers may be correct and we do not see fully the significance of these dates.
The point that I am making is that most all of the end time prophesy have been fulfilled with the exception of the seventh trumpet being sounded and the seventh vial being poured out. It is written in prophesy that these two are to occur at the same time.
We forget sometimes, that .... for "all" those who's names are written in the book, life after death is all the same whether you were caught up tomorrow, today, or yesterday; WE ? They ? ...all go to the same place regardless of where we fit inside the scriptural Prophesy time line. We should not be offended if our teachers "MAY" ??? have innocently been taught misinterpretations, which were innocently misinterpreted to us. Check it out for yourselves. , Read it for yourself, with an open mind. uninfluenced by preconceived ideas. What does scripture REALLY say? It says that if it were possible even the very elect would believe Satan's lies. The Beast and false Prophet have been among us for a long long time. Knowing this should make it easier to identify them

This is a great Bible study on the woman in Revelation. I like how you used the scripture about private interpretations. One thing about God is this. He never just speaks the Word, but always reveals it. Without revelation, we would have no idea about Jesus.

This is my thoughts
I believe that the woman with 12 stars was that Hebrew nation that gave birth to the man child (Jesus) and crucified Him. God punished their disobedience with the seven seal judgments then allowing Satan to scatter them out into the wilderness for approx 1643years. Luke 21:24
The most important message in C. 12 is that Out of Satan's mouth came a flood of waters after the woman. and the earth swallowed it up. Lies and misinterpretations came out of his mouth and the earth believed them. These lies are prevalent still today.
The beast that John saw rising up out of the sea was Organized RELIGION which seems to have taken the place of a relationship with the Father.
Through out the Old Testament that Hebrew Nation represented a relationship with God, and it ceased to exist for over 1800 years. The 1260 days are fulfilled, the 42 months of the Beast are about to be finished. The times of the Gentiles are past.

everyone seem to miss the "moon under her feet". I think the only way to interpret this is to see this as a sign in heaven having to do with constellations. When the constellations line up, things will happen. Berenices' wig has 12 stars in it. Coma before the romans altered it was called woman with child, clothed in the sun, is sunrise or sunset and all this from a literal jewish perspective, the horizon. I also believe revelation has been fulfilled, i like what you said, I am sure the french revolution is in there somewhere too. Revelation although fulfilled once will be fulfilled again and some parts aren't fulfilled yet. Revelation is doubly good. Nice work.

It would take too long to explain why I believe that the French revolution was the results of the fourth vial being poured out, but I do believe that.
History does seem to repeat itself. But I personally think that these particular prophesy (Daniel and Rev) were specifically pointing to specific events marking Gods timetable. I say this because I wholeheartedly believe the Prophetic time comparison of a Day = approx 1 1/3 years. Any and every time that a time period is given in prophesy. This gives us an overall time table in which these prophesy must come to pass.
The 42 months would be the stop watch that all of these events must be confined within.
It is a Long,Long story when attempting to describe three dimensional events on a two dimensional piece of paper, that all take us to one destination.
That is why Revelation is written the way that it is.
Absolutely the best way that it could have been written. There is a reason that it is laid out the way that it is.

The constellations are that also. When these constellations line up and the moon goes under the constellation of the woman with child, and the draco constellation is in the area looking like it will devour the child, then will (the 7 yr pact with isreal be signed and hence tribulation shall occur) things happen. I will not say this is written in stone but i do not feel that it otherwise. It is afterall a Sign in Heaven:
The thing in all of this is that it occurs over there in the middle east, not here. Christ does not return here but over there and the constellations must also be viewed from over there. Often i wonder why there is no mention of anywhere else in the world, in revelation, but over there; with all the earthquakes and famines and pestilence.. new york or california, quatemala and more, even vancouver seem to be unimportant or perhaps non-existent.

I could be wrong? But ..I can't see the prophesy written in Daniel relating to anyone other than that Hebrew Nation that they were written to.
It seems that the "7 year treaty?" would have occurred during the time of the fourth kingdom upon the earth that was given dominion over the earth (Israel). That fourth kingdom has come and gone.
It also seems that the 70 weeks that THAT Hebrew nation was giver to quit sinning and anoint the Most Holy, would have been accomplished before THAT Hebrew Nation came to Its' end of days.
That would mean the 69 weeks also.
That Daniel 12:7 was accomplished when that Hebrew Nation was scattered through out the rest of the Roman Empire. 14 Emperor of the fourth kingdom (Hadrian) came to his end. (138 AD) (Daniel 11:45)

This is the only way that "I" can picture "all" of these prophesy lining up.
I can leave a few details out and make sense of them and come to a diffrent conclusion. But when I include all prophesy into the mix; It tells a dirrerent story.

Being given in a prophet message such as this was I can't help but to believe that the 42 Prophetic months that this woman is carried into the wilderness would exclude the Mother Mary from being the subject of this prophesy.

I was taking for granted that the virgo constellation was the woman with the crown of 12 stars and I was aware that there was a cluster of around 12 stars near her head, which from the comments I have now learned is Berenice's wig. Thank you.
I was also under the impression that it would be hydra and not draco to look like it would devour the child when the moon was under her feet, as hydra is the "Sea Serpent"
As for the timings, this is something I am also wanting to learn, and it's not easy for me, being a self taught beginner.

astronomy and astrology, I understand to be a study of, or the discovering of their place in the universe and affects over life.
I know very little about them, just enough to know that the constellations do affect everything around us. I don't know of any instructions as to how to do that?

Hmmm, It seems that the woman in Revelation 12:1 is the same woman in Isaiah 66:7-9, Mother Zion with her daughter the Church, her womb - Jerusalem, verse 10. See John 3:3-8,16-17. Galatians 4:26 Says Jerusalem above is the Mother of us all. The Church is made up of many members, 1 Corinthians 12:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16 & 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 and is the birthing center for new saints. Hmmm, I wonder about this woman in, Revelation 12:1? Who conceived Jesus Christ in Mary's womb, Matthew 1:20?

It does bring up the question of the true biblical meaning of Zion? Gods describes Jerusalem as his adulterous wife?
I some how have trouble seeing Zionism as representative of that adulterous Jerusalem.
Yet I can see Zion as being the woman that gave birth to the Messiah in Rev. 12. Zion would somehow represent the virtuous aspects of that Hebrew Nation, or something like that?
According to Isaiah 66:7-9 Zion is who is carried away into the wilderness in Rev. 12. but still not the Church.

Jesus will replace the old adulterous wife with his new virtuous and righteous wife, Revelation 19:7; 21:2,9-10.
Here's an interesting Bible study for you. Check out Strong's Concordance and see how many times the term Jerusalem is called the daughter of Zion. It could be God is telling us about the church(us) and the Holy Spirit's relationship, Revelation 22:17. Remember each one of us is begotten of the Father and born of the Holy Spirit, John 3:3-8,16-17. We are temples for The Holy Spirit in each of us that makes us into the Church as a beautiful woman the Bride of Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 6:19-20; 12:11-14; 2 Corinthians 6:16-18. Lots of symbolism here but all very true because Jesus Christ tells us so, John 14:6. Even here it gets very interesting in John 14:23-26.
All of that is well and good. Yet I can not see the church as having given birth to the son of god.
Out of the Hebrew nation a Hebrew Messiah arose.
From the crucifixion of that Messiah a religion was born.
I guess that I am just too simple minded to see past that point.
No, the Church did not but the Holy Spirit and Mary did, Matthew 1:18-20,23. Because of Christ's death the Church was formed as a new creation as the future Bride of Christ,Acts 2:1-21 and more sons and daughter of God can be born of the Holy Spirit through God's new birthing center the Church, John :3-8.Acts 2:1-21.

I did re read these verses you posted and noticed something that, the likes of, I am constantly running upon.
Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, sayth the Lord, I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh..." This sounds as though the writer is calling this the Last Days for God said that this will happen during the last days??
But back on topic, As you say the church did not give birth to the man child mentioned in Rev. 12.
A young girl of that Hebrew Nation did.
Good effort but the sun, moon and 12 Stars are the first family of Israel: Jacob, Rachael and Jacob's 12 sons as revealed from Joseph's dream in Genesis 37.9 so we are talking Israel, not the 12 tribes. The woman (Israel) gives birth to Jesus, the Dragon through Herod seeking to destroy Him. Jesus was caught up to heaven following the resurrection. In my opinion, we now move to the Last Days and the 70th week. I am still working on unlocking Revelation but can confirm the silence in heaven Ch.8.1 ceased on the 16th which is why on the 21st we had the first lunal eclipse on the winter solstice in 372 years, this pertaining to the earthquake in v5. (372 years ago was a hotbed of Reformation following King James VI/I who gave us the King James Bible). If you are interested the 7 trumpets thereafter v6 on are: 1. WW2 vision of dog fight. 2. Nagasaki. 3. Chernobyl. 4. Global dimming aka chemtrails. 5. Gulf War. 6. WW3. The angel of the covenant goes back to the incense burner as the product of its being cast upon the earth.

I agree with the first half of your comment concerning the representation of the twelve stars as the twelve sons of Jacob. I am assuming the twelve tribes of the nation of Israel came out of these twelve sons.
When Jesus died on the cross, this finished the 62Nd week of Daniel! There are eight weeks left of the seventy weeks that were prophesied to Daniel.
I see no reason written in scripture to not believe that these remaining eight weeks EACK are equal to EACH of the previous 62 weeks. ??????
So now, In order to decipher the Book of Revelation all that is required is to determine when these 70 weeks began! ? And every time that a timeline is given in prophesy, apply that equation to that verse , comparing prophetic time to earths actual time.
Each of these 70 weeks should have the same duration or this whole message has no purpose.
If each of these weeks are equal; ? the latest that the 70 weeks could have possibly been fulfilled would be around 103 AD.
Unless god gave us a deceptive message?
Instead of twisting prophesy to conform to what we want to believe, we should twist what we believe to conform to scripture.
In my opinion, properly understanding these 70 weeks of Daniel exactly as written; will bring clear understanding of the book of Revelation.
I believe that all of prophesy has been fulfilled except for the seventh trumpet and seventh bowl judgment.

I am curious as to why any one in their right mind would write what is not useful to anyone? Why I ask that is because of this.
I have known on several different occasions when someone was going to die. Without a smidgeon of doubt, I have known. Never how, but I know. I didn't want to know and ignored them the first few times. I had no choice when it kept springing into my awareness from nowhere. I could do nothing with that information. Nor would it have benefited anyone knowing.
Revelations is like that springing to awareness event that happens with me except it has been delivered via a book.
Not useful except that it could instil fear in people.
Whether or not they will come into being for me is dependent on where we as humans are at internally.
Destruction is a part of existence but it is not the end in my view. It fails to express that.

What do I think the purpose of Revelation was?
I think it was part two of a two part story.
Daniel is part one.
Daniel received his visions and Gabriel interpreted them. These visions need no more interpretation. Don't do it!
The symbols and their meanings are the same as those seen in Rev. or are common elements.
We must first understand that 99.9% of prophesy which Daniel received was pertaining to Daniel and the children of his people; that Hebrew Nation which was covered under the Abraham covenant.
The seventy weeks as described in Daniel is something like a termination notice concerning that covenant.
They have seventy weeks to quit sinning, make restitution for those sins and anoint the most Holy.
They didn't do this, the seventy weeks ended and that Hebrew Nation was scattered to the four winds. Which brings us to Daniel 12:45 through Daniel 12:7 "... and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people all these things shall be finished.
And they will be scattered for 1290 days (A time, times and an half; Approx 1680 of our years).They then start migrating back to Israel.
I think the events described in Daniel and Revelation overlap in time, from the birth of Christ until the end of days for "That" Hebrew nation which ceased to exist around 138 AD.
11:45 is describing "The Little Horn" (chapter 7) coming to his end. The Little horn was the 14 king belonging to the fourth kingdom. (Roman Empire)
Unless we understand the sequence of events and the timeframes given to these prophesy; Prophesy has NO real meaning. None, Zilch!
This is why Daniel 9 is so important.
Daniel 9:1 identifies the year this message is received. 538 BC
9:23 (paraphrase) A week ago the commandment came forth.
9:25 and 26 Know therefore and understand from the time the commandment goes forth .......
And after 3 score and 2 weeks (62 weeks) shall Messiah be cut off.
This is saying that the 62 weeks began in 538 BC and ended in either, 26, 30, or 33 AD. So a week in prophesy is just over 9 of our years.
If this is true? Oh! how it would change our understanding of that which is written; and reveal a deception that has been going on for almost 1650 years.
That is, if the bible contains truth? And if it does, who are we ro interpret it to mean something other than what it clearly states.
At least in my mind, this answers ALL of my questions.

But a fire hath consumed the walls which did hold thee fast and has loosed thee from thy chains! But the day of celebration is naught and is for a time yet to come. Receive this part and grasp it firmly for beyond the walls in which ye were bound lies a host of troops encamped to guard thee from escaping. So make haste but sound not the alarm in a riotous manner.
The days that approach require your acceptance of errors made but from them is no sin upon you. The fire that was set to destroy thy soul has become within each of you an unquenchable desire to know God. No wall can separate anyone from this one thing. And it was thereby that ye are loosed. Now hold fast until my return. Absorb the words which I have spoken. And prepare yourselves for the great tribulation. But worry not for truth shall be thy shield and you shall emerge victorious over the beast without ever wielding an instrument of battle.

But I suppose that anyone can interpret your words in such a way as to agree with their thoughts even though they/we are wrong.

The woman that John speaks of isn't what you perceive her to be at all. It is a warning. It is an ancient way to portray a specific moment in time to someone in the future. John was telling us how to know when the things he prophecies of shall come to pass.
The woman is none other than the constellation Virgo. The constellation Virgo hath a crown of twelve stars. on September the 29th of the current year 2011, the sun shall rest on Virgos shoulder and she shall be clothed in the sun. On that day shall the moon shall be at her feet. Saturn and Venus also shall be in her womb. For she is with child John has told thee. And wormwood the mighty red comet, the red dragon of destruction doth appear. Ye are ignorant of it's approach for it is overshadowed purposely by it's companion which you know as Elenin. But the destroyer doth follow. They shall move between the earth and the sun and cast the earth into darkness on that day. When this occurs, it hath begun. And hell shall follow.
Heed what I have given thee for thy own sakes.
