Jesus Said
72I intend to show that according to these things spoken by Jesus Christ, that he has returned as he said that he would. He came again to that Hebrew Nation that he was talking to when he said, “This generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled” .
When we read these following passages, we should imagine ourselves watching a play. We have never seen this play nor have we read any of the reviews. Jesus is the main character. We are watching and hearing him saying these things in the temple before the multitude of people and his followers. He is addressing the Pharisees and scribes. .. Pretend we are watching a Play, and as usual guessing as to the path that the story is to follow. Picture in your mind as these things unfold
Mathew 23 Jesus was speaking in the temple before the multitude, and to his disciples. He is speaking to the scribes and the Pharisees.
Matt.23 v. 13 "But woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men, for ye neither go in yourselves ; neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in".
V 14 "woe unto you scribes and Pharisees…"
V 15 "woe unto you ............ “
V 16 "woe unto you.............. “
V17 "ye fool …........"
V19 "ye fools and blind …..."
V 23 "woe unto you scribes and Pharisees …..."
V 24 "ye blind guides …......"
V 25 "Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees…....."
V 26 "Thou blind Pharisees …....."
V 27 "Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees…..."
V29 "Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees…...."
V30 "And say if we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets".
V31 "Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves , that ye are the children of them which killed the Prophets".
V33 "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell".
V34 “Wherefore behold (listen) I send unto you prophets, and wise men and scribes; and some of them ye shall crucify, and some of them ye shall scourge in your synagogues and persecute them from city to city".
{Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted (I can picture Jesus point to one disciple) and shall kill you (as he points to another) and yea shall be hated of all nations. }
V36 Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation.
V34 “that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Able unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias whom ye slew between the temple and the alter”
V36 Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation. Act one of the Play that we are watching closes and the curtain comes down. We can hear the set being changed behind the scenes. And the curtain soon raises and we see Jesus leaving the temple. We see one of the disciples as he is pointing out the grandeur of the temple.
Jesus cuts him off short with a curious statement. Jesus says, " See ye not all of these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be one stone left one on top of another that has not been thrown down. And Peter James John and Andrew ask him privately, When shall all these things be, and tell us of the signs of thy coming again.
As we picture all of what is said by Jesus in Matt. 24 we should firstly remember Matt. 24:9 for it applies to Matt. 23:9t {Matthew 24:9 .. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted (I can picture Jesus pointing to one disciple) and shall kill you (as he points to another) and yea shall be hated of all nations. I will stress again that chapter 24 was a PRIVATE conversation with these four disciples. We should suddenly see that when Jesus says, "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled, but no one knows the day or hour..." he was referring to That generation that he was walking among and speaking to before he was crucified. Jesus said that the Great tribulation and his second coming (24:30)shall be in that generation.(24: 34 & 35)
Acceptance of this as fact does not change anything concerning our Salvation. When we lead a Godly life we still get to be with the Lord when we die. The only thing that might change is that we see that this generation that we live in is no more special than any other generation that has come before us. When we accept this as fact, the mysteries of the End Time prophesy looses their mystery. They can then be seen as they are actually written. And much will be revealed that we could not see before.
The end is near. But the only signs of the times that are yet to be fulfilled is the gathering together of the armies at the battle of Armageddon. and their destruction by the seventh trumpet and seventh vial judgment.
The good news is that we do not need to worry about the Great Tribulation as described in scripture. That tribulation has already happened, in the first century.
The bad news is that when the final trumpet is sounded and the seventh seal judgment is poured out, these will come swiftly and without any further warning.
We will be caught unaware if we continue to believe that before the end comes, we will see the "Anti Christ" as the leader of a one world government, or that the temple is to be rebuilt and the Anti Christ announces himself as God while standing in it. We do not need to be watching for any signs to come before the Kings of the earth gather together for the battle of Armageddon. We are watching them preparing to do that now.
There is one event recorded in the book of Revelation th has not taken place yet. It will occur so close th the end that it almost doesn't count as being a forewarning. The ten kings who have power for half of an hour give their power to the dragon and they totally destroy the Mystery Babylon. The seat of the beast, the city that sits on seven hills , the mystery Babylon will be totally destroyed and her flesh consumed. Scripture indicates that the beast and False prophet are thrown into the lake of fire after this. And at some time later Satan is also thrown into the lake of fire where the Beast and False Prophet are.

Thanks for the teachings of Jesus.. nice and informative hub
Interesting hub.
I like the line about this generation being no more special than the ones before it! That's my opinion as well, yet not a very popular one.
May God bless and keep you!
Good hub Jerami. So many people talk about the anti-christ as some future world leader but negelct the fact that the word anti-christ only appears 4 times in scripture and only in the letters of John. We see then that the anti-christ is the spirit of the anti-christ and refers to anyone who rejects Jesus as the Son of God. Therefore the anti-christ is not a single individual that we should wait for some great appearing.
Short of an earthquake or secular Israel demolishing the Golden Dome on the rock, there is not going to be a rebuilt Jewish temple. If we believe that there is going to be a new temple then allowing for time to clear the site, sort out rights issues with the Islamic world, raising of funds and work beginning, the whole project would take something like 10 years. The danger is that the church falls into complacency thinking they have at least 10 years as an on-going advance warning.
Rev 18:10 states that Babylon falls in one hour. Should we take this to be approx 20days if 1 day = 1.3 years? If Babylon represents the church, which I believe it does, then for all sorts of denominations to fall in a single hour all around the world seems rather unlikely. However if the one hour is just symbolic of a short period of time through which the church is in decline, then we would be seeing this now in the West certainly.

Jerami, what do you mean by this:
The good news is that the Great Tribulation as described in scripture is also past. It will be again as in the days of Noah.
Great Trib past, days of Noah to come? In what way?
